House Bros was established in Adelaide in 1980, by twin brothers Nick and Chris House. As their surname might suggest, the House family has a long history of building, being eighth generation builders.
After completing their formal schooling at Prince Alfred College, Nick pursued a trade in bricklaying and plastering with his father Harry’s building company, H J House Pty Ltd, while Chris was apprenticed as a painter and decorator.
Following completion of their apprenticeships, they amassed hands-on building experience in all aspects of the trade and then ventured into building and development and investment projects in the early 1980s.
As well as building, they developed other business interests, such as the ownership, management and later construction of residential aged care facilities, those being Gleneagles, Monreith and previously The Terrace and Orana Nursing Home.
The company continues to grow and expand and the name remains, it is hoped, for future generations of House brothers.
House Bros Pty Ltd is part of the House Group of Companies, which includes the award winning All Exclusive Homes, Gleneagles Aged Care Facility and Monreith Aged Care Facility.
